Bhaktapur

This is another Durbar Square, a former palace surrounded by temples. The cobbled streets were difficult to maneuver, but that didn't stop us from getting in a little more shopping.

This place seems to be most noted for its intricate carvings in metal and wood, the most famous is the peacock window of Pujarimath Complex. There is also a pottery square where you can watch the artists at work, but only a couple of us made it that far, most of us were busy watching the money disappear from our wallets.

Augie went geocaching while we were waiting for lunch. When he came back a demonstration was going on in the square, and he came in to grab his camera.  There were several marches, lots of riot police, but no trouble, just a lot of noise.
